01 / Restoration & refinishing

Keep the character.
Renew the feeling.

Wear doesn’t always mean starting over. We assess the floor you have—its construction, remaining wear layer, condition, and finish—before discussing the right approach.

  • Sanding and refinishing
  • Stain and finish direction
  • Recoating where the existing finish allows
  • Board repairs and thoughtful matching

02 / New installation

Start with wood.
Make it your own.

Species, board width, pattern, and finish all change how a room feels. The right choice also depends on what’s underneath, how the room is used, and how it connects to the rest of your home.

  • Solid and engineered wood
  • Prefinished and site-finished floors
  • Subfloor preparation and sound considerations
  • Herringbone, parquet, and custom layouts

03 / Stairs, repairs & custom details

The small things.
The whole room.

A stair edge. A threshold. The point where old boards meet new. These are the decisions that make the finished space feel connected.

  • Stair treads, handrails, and finishing
  • Lace-in patches and board replacement
  • Inlays and bespoke parquet
  • Vents, borders, and transitions

A few good
questions.

Can my floor be refinished?

It depends on its construction, remaining wear layer, previous sanding, and condition. Photos are a useful starting point, but an assessment is needed before confirming the approach.

Do I need to move out?

That depends on the scope, access, finish system, and how the space is occupied. Furniture moving, room access, ventilation, and return-to-use timing belong in the project plan.

Can new boards match my existing floor?

Species, dimensions, age, and finish affect the match. We can discuss repair or lace-in options, with the expectation that natural material and existing wear can create visible differences.

How much should I budget?

Size, preparation, finish, pattern, stairs, and repairs all affect cost. The sample estimator lets you explore those drivers. Its illustrative figures are not an Ace quote.

Do you work with architects and builders?

Yes. There is a direct professional inquiry route for restoration and new installations, including custom details. Bring the scope, drawings, finish direction, and timing you have.
